Lettuce , Montreal:
Montreal is a good sized Romaine Cos head with plenty of crunch and flavour. Bred in Spain, spotted in UK trials during the hot summer of 2022, this variety performs very well and copes easily with the heat - we've grown lots of these during 2025 and experienced very little bolthing.
We recommend watering the drill before sowing as lettuce seed is fine and can easily be washed away with a first heavy watering. Sow every 2 to 3 weeks for a long-lasting harvest.
